Day 16
Thur May 17,2001

Hi all !
Well we finally got to downtown Seattle. It is a pretty city and reminds us of San Fransico.
Got a room right by the space needle. Cloudy today but no rain.

Here's Prilly sitting in our room with the space needle coming out of her head.

Once we got to our room the first thing we had to do was to go up in the space needle.

It surprised us how many pontoon planes they have here. Elliott Bay is a regular runway. . . . .

Then when we were up there we saw this. I would never guess that we would see this from up there.

Then we rode the monorail across town. This thing moves and hits speeds of 70 mph.

After paying to go up and down then paying to go back and forth we decided to go all around on a duck.
This guy has a great gimic going for him. He has taken a world war II amphibious vehicle and turned it into a touring vehicle.
You get to tour the city and the bay without leaving your seat. He has it rigged up with all kinds of music and sound effects and has a party type atmosphere aboard it. It was the hi point of our day, Great tour.

You can see it was getting kind of wild as he drove into the water. . .

The view of the city from the water was great.

Do you know that 1 out of every 6 people in Seattle owns a boat.

You heard about the troll that lives under the bridge well they have one.

Had a good time exploring this place.
Still not sure what we are doing tomorow but will see you then.
